1. KNOW YOUR BUDGET
Before you start house hunting, it’s essential to understand your budget. Determine how much you can afford by considering your income, savings, and existing debts. A good rule of thumb is to spend no more
than 28% of your gross monthly income on housing.

prices and mortgage rates.


2. GET PRE-APPROVED FOR A MORTGAGE
Getting pre-approved for a mortgage is a crucial step. It gives you a clear idea of how much you can borrow and shows sellers you’re a serious buyer. Contact multiple lenders to compare rates and terms.
